Who We Are
We are Wild Roots Collective, a grassroots, worker-owned cooperative organization fueled by passionate people who value solidarity, empowerment, social ecology, responsibility, and community. We share a common goal in creating a learning space where all children have access to quality education in the form of self-direction. We also share a deep passion for helping others on a much wider scale and have much bigger plans for serving the North Texas community as we grow!
Flying Squads & Learning Hub
Wild Roots Collective will lead many local projects starting with Wild Roots Flying Squads and Wild Roots Learning Hub.
Flying Squads are group excursions around Dallas/Ft Worth that trust the collective to guide the adventures. The Learning Hub is a consistent weekly self-directed learning space for young people and families where we can grow together in community.
Wild Roots Learning Community
Wild Roots Collective's goal is to raise funds to open Wild Roots Learning Community. Wild Roots Learning Community will be completely crowdfunded community-minded space where all kids can laugh, love, serve, and learn together in a self-directed learning environment.
Mission
Our mission is to provide space and inspiration for learners to live harmoniously, collaboratively, and intentionally within their community and the wider world.
Vision
Our vision is a learning community and world where our heart lies in doing our best to identify and meet everyone’s needs. We envision a harmonious community where members share the responsibilities of making decisions, sharing resources, and resolving conflicts based on a collective consciousness of freedom, sustainability, and solidarity. Our broader vision is to share this collective consciousness with other communities on a global scale.
